As you know, this is my extremely beautiful, brilliant, and ever so talented girlfriend, Sandy. I love her more than words can explain. See how happy she makes me? yeah, you’ve always seen this. She’s the one you would always let me have over and even invited over yourself on occasion. The one you knew as my bestfriend? you loved her. but you knew. Deep down before you forced it out of me, you knew of our love. You asked a number of times for me to tell you and admitted you’d be perfectly fine after I finally told you. Took a while, but you got it out of me. However, you failed on your end. I trusted you thinking it’d be fine to tell you, but regardless you didn’t take it seriously and still aren’t.
NO, it’s NOT her ‘fault’ that I am bisexual. NO, it’s not fair that you think I’ll “rub this” off on my younger sisters like some sort of contagious disease. NO, my younger sister is not “turning gay” just because she chooses to back me up KNOWING that you’re wrong. NO, it’s NOT fair that you want my girlfriend to stay away from my baby sister KNOWING my baby sister adores her. NO, me coming out to you is NOT WORSE than me telling you I’m pregnant. NO, you really SHOULDN’T care what people (or your friends) are going to think of YOU, because it has NOTHING to do with your personal life. AND NO, you forcing me to tell certain people about MY VERY OWN personal life isn’t going to make me feel ashamed, it’s just going to make YOU look ridiculous.
YES, i love my girlfriend just as naturally as you love your husband. YES, she treats me MORE wonderfully than any guy ever would and I am very grateful. YES, she cares about me more than you ever have since you never bothered to build some sort of relationship with me as I was growing up. YES, she DOESN’T have a penis, what’s the big fucking deal? YES, i plan on being with her for a very long time (so stop telling me that I should see other people because this ISN’T a phase.) YES, we have talked about getting married. YES, we sure as hell want kids. AND YES, it IS fucking possible to be bisexual, but no matter how many times I try to break that down to you, you’re not going to understand it.
I’m just hoping that one day…. one day, you can see how ridiculous you’re being right now, and accept it. You can’t scare me out of this beautiful relationship, no one can. We’d prefer to have you be in our lives as much as I know my sisters and friends will be.
